Is it me or is the game a little more harsh in unlocking characters and karts this time around?

Many of them require that you have to attain a One * Rank in all the cups in a certain class. I find this hard to do (ESPECIALLY WITH DRY BOWSER. One * 150CC cups!). Is there any tips that will help me, or anyone, become a better racer? (Cause I'm terrible at the bloody thing)

I'm not sure on this one because I haven't unlocked all the characters myself. You've seem to be good yesterday when we played.

well, not exactly! I only got my groove going after I switched to Toad (around Shy Guy Beach lol. I did not see that coming) And with the battle mode, I'm far better when there is more people. We should arrange something like that.

Yeah, they are way harder... I have only gotten 2 stars on one 50cc track.

For some reason I just....suck at this game. I still managed to get stars in all the 50cc and 100cc, but the Flower and Special cups on 150cc keep uber pwning me. I can win the first three races, but on the last two (which are my two worst stages in the entire game), I just get SLAUGHTERED. I almost won the special cup earlier today, but then I was hit by a POW, Red Shell, Lightning, Blue Shell, and then was rammed off the edge by some super-star jerk.
