The Zexy Zamus

Postby Fauxhawk on Tue Apr 15, 2008 12:12 am

Many of you already know that Zamus has begun her way to being my main. She is almost there, I just need to adapt better one-on-one skills with her. That's where I would like some help.

For those who have been humiliated by it, my Zamus meteor smash is my favourite move. I achive this by using Down B and doing the kick the moment my opponent touches Zamus. Is there a certain strategy that I should use when I do this technique?

But my biggest problem is...that I am terrible with ZSS in a one-on-one confrontation. She's got killer air moves, an awesome whip; but her best attacks lag and are easily blocked. Any tips?

Well, from my personal use of her, she's definitely a ranged fighter, so distance is most important.
Make sure to make best use of her Down Smash, following this up with a side smash/b or aerial down A.

Her b blaster is also very important. The thing is not to stay in close combat against the opponent and maintain your space, using her down b to make room.

All in all, the solution to her lag/ easily blocked attacks is to play her differently(I haven't fought you 1 on 1 with her, so I don't know how you play) by using her paralyzing moves, keeping space, and playing an overall mind game for when you will unleash her aerial moves. :3

Hope it helps.

Thanks! Karma!

I dominate with her in the air because she attacks so fast up there.

Her Down Smash is incredibly difficult to hit on a seasoned player. Its beginning lag basically screws you over. When it does connect, I rarely expect it lol so I dont use her side b from instinct.

Her Blaster travels very slowly and doesnt have as long of an effect as down smash, but it still works.

Thanks for your input. I'll try different tricks.

Try using her dash attack to get close and then use a tilt and the a combo. It works pretty well. Also dashing then rolling behind them works most of the time. It fails if they also roll so watch out.

ALso i like using her down smash to edge guard. Try it out. It works well.

if the blaster hits, i'm pretty sure you can get 1 or 2 free dsmashes before you do a side b or a forward smash.
