So, here's some pics of my favorite artists. :3
Morning Musume. Japan's best selling all girl group. They've been around for 10 years(they lose and gain members). This is the current line-up(Yea, I know all of their names.):
There music is generally very Bublegum-pop, but theres singles always have a different taste to them. (There most recent singles having been: 80's-ish, Hard rock, Techno)
Utada Hikaru. One of Japan's most successful artists of all time. Her debut album, First Love, is the best-selling album ever in Japan with over 7.65 million copies sold in Japan alone. ;D
She used to have a very deep R&B feel to her songs, but now, she sings more ethereal pop, which usually includes lots of synch. :3
Ayumi Hamasaki. She is the all-time 4th best-selling artist in Japan and the highest selling solo female artist in Japan. She is the only solo artist to have sold 20 million singles in Japan.
Her music typically ranges from rock to pop. Usually a mixture of both. (Like a rocky chorus)
Koda Kumi. She has only recently started to gain more popularity, thanks to reasons such as her appearing on the Japanese soundtrack of Final Fantasy X-2, her urban music style and her revealing photo-shoots.
Her music style is very Hip hop and R&B, with the occasional pop song and ballad. :3
